Martha Bodunrin
Martha Bodunrin (born 1952) is a Nigerian politician. She was a member of the People's Democratic Party and the House of Representatives Life Bodunrin was born in 1952. She qualified as a teacher in 1971. She joined the People's Democratic Party and was their candidate. In 2010 she was a member of the House of Representatives when massacres happened in the villages of around the city of Jos. Hundreds died when adults and children were killed. Bodunrin compared the violence to the Rwanda genocides. In 2011 she was re-elected to the House of Representatives. Other women elected that year included Folake Olunloyo, Maimunat Adaji, Suleiman Oba Nimota, Betty Okogua-Apiafi, Rose Oko and Nkoyo Toyo. 2010 Jos Riots
The 2010 Jos riots were clashes between Muslim and Christian ethnic groups in central Nigeria in and near the city of Jos. Jos is the capital of Plateau State, in the middle of the divide between the predominantly Muslim north of Nigeria and the predominantly Christian south. Since 2001, the area has been plagued by violence motivated by multiple factors. The clashes have been characterised as "religious violence" by many news sources, although others cite ethnic and economic differences as the root of the violence. The first spate of violence of 2010 started on 17 January in Jos and spread to surrounding communities. Houses, churches, mosques and vehicles were set ablaze, during at least four days of fighting. Folake Olunloyo-Oshinowo is a Nigerian politician and former member of the House of Representatives. Career Olunloyo-Oshinowo was educated at St Anne's Grammar school and the International School in Ibadan before attending Obafemi Awolowo University. She graduated in 1990. Hajiya Maimuna Usman Adaji or Maimunat Adaji (c.1957 – 2019) was a Nigerian politician. She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2003. She was elected again in 2011 for the All Nigeria Peoples Party. Life She was an educationalist who owned a school and was a politician in the Fourth Nigerian Republic.
