Marta Menegatti (born 16 August 1990) is an Italian beach volleyball player who plays as a Beach volleyball#Player specializations, left-side defender with her partner Viktoria Orsi Toth. With former teammate Greta Cicolari, she achieved a career-high FIVB Beach Volleyball World Rankings, world ranking of No. 4 in August 2012. Her career highlights include two gold, seven silver and seven bronze medals on the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour, FIVB World Tour. She is also the 2011 European Beach Volleyball Championships, European champion and the Beach volleyball at the 2013 Mediterranean Games, 2013 Mediterranean Games champion, both achieved with Cicolari. Beach Volleyball At The 2016 Summer Olympics – Women's Tournament
The women's beach volleyball tournament at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, took place at the Copacabana Stadium. The competition was held from 6 to 17 August 2016. Twenty four teams with 48 athletes around the world competed for the gold medal.
