Marta Mazurek
Marta Mazurek (born 26 June 1990) is a Polish film actress. She made her debut role performance in the Gabriela Zapolska's play ''Ich czworo'' (''Four of them'') in 2012 directed for Radio Kraków by Jerzy Stuhr. Career Mazurek was born on 26 June 1990 in Poznań. In 2013, while still being an acting student at the Krakow National Theatre School, she won the Grand Prix "for outstanding stage personality" at the Theatre Schools Festival in Lodz for her role in "The man who mistook his wife for a hat" (Mężczyzna, który pomylił swoją żonę z kapeluszem), directed by Krzysztof Globisz. During the same festival she also received an award from Association of Polish Artists. During the studies she performed in the music show ''Niech no tylko zakwitną jabłonie'' (Just let apple trees bloom) based on a screenplay by Agnieszka Osiecka. The Lure (2015 Film)
''The Lure'' ( pl, Córki dancingu, lit=Daughters of Dancing) is a 2015 Polish horror musical film directed by Agnieszka Smoczyńska. It tells of two sirens who emerge from the waters and perform in a nightclub. One falls in love with a man, and gives up her tail, but loses her voice in the process. The story is a reworking of the 1837 fairy tale " The Little Mermaid" by Hans Christian Andersen, with inspiration from Smoczyńska's experiences. After a Polish premiere, the film screened at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival and Fantasia Film Festival, to positive reviews. Maria Gabriela Stefania Korwin-Piotrowska (1857–1921), known as Gabriela Zapolska, was a Polish novelist, playwright, naturalist writer, feuilletonist, theatre critic and stage actress. Zapolska wrote 41 plays, 23 novels, 177 short stories, 252 works of journalism, one film script, and over 1,500 letters. Zapolska received most recognition for her socio-satirical comedies. Agnieszka Osiecka
Agnieszka Osiecka (Polish pronunciation: ; 9 October 1936 – 7 March 1997) was a Polish poet, writer, author of theatre and television screenplays, film director and journalist. She was a prominent Polish songwriter, having authored the lyrics to more than 2000 songs, and is considered an icon of Polish culture.
