Marshall Rosen
Marshall Frederick Rosen (born 17 September 1948) is a former cricket player for New South Wales, and a member of the NSW Cricket Association Board. Cricket career Rosen represented New South Wales in the Sheffield Shield between 1971 and 1975 as an opening batsman. His highest first-class score was 97, when New South Wales beat Western Australia in December 1973. In 2007 Rosen, who is Jewish, was inducted into the Maccabi NSW Hall of Fame. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field, at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails (small sticks) balanced on three stumps. Two players from the batting team, the striker and nonstriker, stand in front of either wicket holding bats, while one player from the fielding team, the bowler, bowls the ball toward the striker's wicket from the opposite end of the pitch. The Western Australian men's cricket team, formerly nicknamed the Western Warriors, represent the Australian state of Western Australia in Australian domestic cricket.
