Dino Campana
Dino Campana (20 August 1885 – 1 March 1932) was an Italian visionary poet. His fame rests on his only published book of poetry, the ''Canti Orfici'' ("Orphic Songs"), as well as his wild and erratic personality, including his ill-fated love affair with Sibilla Aleramo. He is often seen as an Italian example of a poète maudit. Life Campana was born near Faenza in the small town of Marradi, which is found in the Apennines along the border between the regions of Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany. His father Giovanni, who was always affectionate and understanding with Dino, was an elementary school principal, and forthright member of the community, but had a weak and neurotic character. Vincenzo Castaldi
Vincenzo Castaldi (15 May 1916, Marradi – 6 January 1970, Florence) was an Italian chess master. He won the Italian Chess Championship seven times, (1936, 1937, 1947 (jointly), 1948, 1952 (jointly), 1953, and 1959), and was an Italian correspondence chess champion in 1956. Castaldi represented Italy on first board in the 7th Chess Olympiad at Stockholm 1937 and 9th Chess Olympiad at Dubrovnik 1950. Serafino Razzi
Fra Serafino Razzi (Marradi 1531 – Florence 1613), was an Italian Dominican friar who in 1563 published a large collection of carnival songs in the lauda (song) genre. Razzi's collection ''Libro primo delle laudi spirituale'' is a miscellany of pieces of varying age and character from the music of Florence. It contains 91 lauda settings for one to four voices.
