Marooning
Marooning is the intentional act of abandoning someone in an uninhabited area, such as a desert island, or more generally (usually in passive voice) to be marooned is to be in a place from which one cannot escape. The word is attested in 1699, and is derived from the term maroon, a word for a fugitive slave, which could be a corruption of Spanish '' cimarrón'' (rendered as "symeron" in 16th–17th century English), meaning a household animal (or slave) who has "run wild". ''Cimarrón'' in turn may be derived from the Taino word ''símaran'' (“wild”) (like a stray arrow), from ''símara'' (“arrow”). The practice was a penalty for crewmen, or for captains at the hands of a crew in cases of mutiny. Generally, a marooned man was set on a deserted island, often no more than a sand bar at low tide. He would be given some food, a container of water, and a loaded pistol so he could die by suicide if he desired. The outcome of marooning was usually fatal, but survival was possib ...

"Marooned" is the ninth episode of the first season of ''The Ren & Stimpy Show''. It originally aired on Nickelodeon in the United States on October 6, 1991. It is the second episode in a loosely linked trilogy known as the "space episodes", set in the show-within-the-show ''The Adventures of Commander Höek and Cadet Stimpy''. Plot The episode is yet another episode of ''The Adventures of Commander Höek and Cadet Stimpy'' that casts Ren and Stimpy as astronauts going farther into space than any other dog and cat before. Due to the show's loosely connected structure, it ignores the events of " Space Madness". The introduction is also reused from that episode. Commander Ren and Space Cadet Stimpy crash their spacecraft into a remote planet, with the atmosphere stripping the spacecraft beyond repair. They try to contact upper management, to no avail, as their equipment had fried in the process. Stimpy tries to ensure their survival by following rules in his ''Space Cadet Handbook ...

Death Or Glory (album)
''Death or Glory'' is the fifth studio album by German heavy metal band Running Wild, released 8 November 1989 through Noise Records. It is the band's last album with both guitarist Majk Moti and drummer Ian Finlay. Being one of their most successful releases, it contains the concert favourites "Riding the Storm" and "Bad to the Bone". The final track, "March On", was not included on the vinyl release due to space constraints. The CD version (both the original and remastered) of the album contains 1991's ''Wild Animal'' EP, albeit with a different running order than that of the original. However, despite the presence of ''Wild Animal'' on the original pressing CD, neither the booklet nor back insert tray mention these songs. But the CD non-playing side (of the original pressing), however, does list the 4 songs from this EP. The booklet on the remastered version has the full info on including of the EP. Running Wild filmed a live video to the song "Bad to the Bone", recorded ...

Red Dwarf
A red dwarf is the smallest kind of star on the main sequence. Red dwarfs are by far the most common type of fusing star in the Milky Way, at least in the neighborhood of the Sun. However, due to their low luminosity, individual red dwarfs are not easily observed. Not one star that fits the stricter definitions of a red dwarf is visible to the naked eye. Proxima Centauri, the star nearest to the Sun, is a red dwarf, as are fifty of the sixty nearest stars. According to some estimates, red dwarfs make up three-quarters of the fusing stars in the Milky Way. The coolest red dwarfs near the Sun have a surface temperature of about and the smallest have radii about 9% that of the Sun, with masses about 7.5% that of the Sun. These red dwarfs have spectral types of L0 to L2. There is some overlap with the properties of brown dwarfs, since the most massive brown dwarfs at lower metallicity can be as hot as and have late M spectral types. Definitions and usage of the term "red d ...
