Marol is a locality in the suburb of Andheri (East) in Mumbai, India. History The area has been inhabited for centuries, successively coming under both Portugal, Portuguese and United Kingdom, British rule. Geography Marol consists of the areas Marol village, Marol Naka, Marol Pipeline, Marol Depot, Marol Maroshi, Military Road, Bhavaninagar, Vijay Nagar, Marol Police Camp, parts of JB Nagar and parts of Marol MIDC. Marol Naka Metro Station
Marol Naka is an interchange metro station serving the Marol neighbourhood of Andheri in Mumbai, India. Elevated station serves for the East-West Corridor of the Line 1 (Mumbai Metro), Blue Line 1 of Mumbai Metro. It was opened to the public on 8 June 2014. The Underground station serves for the North-South Corridor of the Line 3 (Mumbai Metro), Aqua Line 3 of Mumbai Metro. It was opened to public on 7 October 2024. The Western Express Highway, abbreviated to WEH (officially Ali Yavar Jung Marg after the former Governor of Maharashtra), is a major north–south 8-10 lane arterial road in Mumbai, India, stretching from the suburb of Mira Road to Bandra. JB Nagar, expanded to Jamunalal Bajaj Nagar, is a neighbourhood in Andheri (East), Mumbai. Its proximity to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport makes it a prime business district.
