Marlon Rodrigues de Freitas (born 27 March 1995) is a Brazilian professional association football, footballer who plays as a midfielder for Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas, Botafogo and Brazil national football team, Brazil. Club career Fluminense Marlon was born in Magé, Rio de Janeiro, and joined Fluminense FC, Fluminense's youth setup in 2013. On 17 March 2015, he moved to Fort Lauderdale Strikers (2006–2016), Fort Lauderdale Strikers on a season-long loan deal. Marlon made his senior debut on 4 April 2015, starting in a 0–1 home loss against New York Cosmos (2010), New York Cosmos. He scored his first goal late in the month, netting his team's second in a 3–1 away success over Ottawa Fury FC, Ottawa Fury. He returned to Fluminense in December 2015, after scoring eight goals in 31 appearances. North American Soccer League (2011–2017)
The North American Soccer League (NASL) was a professional men's soccer league based in the United States. The league was named for, but had no connection to, the original North American Soccer League. The later NASL was founded in 2009, and began play in 2011 with eight teams. From 2013 through 2017, the NASL used a split-season schedule running from April to early November, with a four-week break in July. The spring and fall champions, along with the two teams with best combined spring/fall records met in a four-team single-elimination tournament known as ''The Championship''. The 2019 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B was a football competition held in Brazil, equivalent to the second division. The competition started on 26 April and ended on 30 November 2019. Twenty teams competed in the tournament, twelve returning from the 2018 season, four promoted from the 2018 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C ( Botafogo-SP, Bragantino, Cuiabá and Operário Ferroviário), and four relegated from the 2018 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A ( América Mineiro, Paraná, Sport and Vitória).
