Marlon Davis (comedian)
Marlon Davis (born 21 June 1983) is a British actor and stand-up comedian. Early and personal life The eldest of six siblings, Davis was brought up on the Stonebridge, London council estate, North West London. Davis is of Jamaican and Grenadian descent. He is a former student of Our Lady of Lourdes R.C Primary School and Cardinal Hinsley R.C High School. He studied B.A Art & Design at University of Westminster Career Davis began performing live in 2005 on the UK black comedy circuit. The following year, Davis made the final of two national competitions “Laughing Horse” and "So You Think You're Funny" at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In 2009 he won FHM Stand Up Hero which was televised on ITV4. In 2012, Davis debuted his first solo show "Enter The Davism", which sold out its run at both the Pleasance Theatre in Edinburgh and London's Soho Theatre. Stonebridge, London
Stonebridge is a locality in the London Borough of Brent that forms the western part of Harlesden in Northwest London, England. The A404 runs through the district known locally as Brentfield and Hillside, while to the south are railway tracks and to the west is the North Circular Road along with Stonebridge Park station. The area is known for the previously troubled 1960s Stonebridge housing estate, which was completely redeveloped in the 2000s. Stonebridge is also the name of the largest electoral ward in the borough, which includes Stonebridge itself as well as Park Royal and the southern half of Neasden including the St Raphael's Estate; it is the most populated ward in Brent with a population over 17,000 with the majority of Afro-Caribbean heritage. The Dog Ate My Homework (TV Series)
"The dog ate my homework" (or "My dog ate my homework") is an English expression which carries the suggestion of being a common, poorly fabricated excuse made by schoolchildren to explain their failure to turn in an assignment on time. The phrase is referenced, even beyond the educational context, as a sarcastic rejoinder to any similarly glib or otherwise insufficient or implausible explanation for a failure in any context. The claim of a dog eating one's homework is inherently suspect since it is both impossible for a teacher to disprove and conveniently absolves the student who gives that excuse of any blame. The Comedy Store is an American comedy club opened in April 1972. It is located in West Hollywood, California, at 8433 Sunset Boulevard on the Sunset Strip. An associated club is located in La Jolla, San Diego, California. History The Comedy Store was opened in April 1972 by comedians Sammy Shore (1927–2019), and Rudy De Luca.
