Marlene Simons
Marlene Juanita Simons (; July 1, 1935 – March 13, 2006) was an American Republican politician and a former member of the Wyoming House of Representatives. She served from 1979 until 2003. From 1979 to 1992, she represented Crook County. In 1992, the Wyoming Legislature switched from a county-based system to a numbered district-based system. From 1993 to 2003, she represented the 1st district. Wyoming House Of Representatives
The Wyoming House of Representatives is the lower house of the Wyoming Legislature, Wyoming State Legislature. There are 62 Representatives in the House, representing an equal number of single-member constituent districts across the Wyoming, state, each with a population of at least 9,000. The House convenes at the Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Cheyenne. Members of the House serve two year terms without term limits. Term limits were declared unconstitutional by the Wyoming Supreme Court in 2004, overturning a decade-old law that had restricted Representatives to six terms (twelve years). Beulah, Wyoming
Beulah is a census-designated place (CDP) in eastern Crook County, Wyoming, United States, along Sand Creek, a tributary of the Belle Fourche River. According to local residents, the population is 33. When the 2010 census reported the population as 73, the highway sign at the town entrance was changed. In 2012, Beulah residents succeeded in appealing to the Wyoming Governor to remove the new sign and replace it with one that proclaimed the population to be 33. Geography Beulah is located alongside Interstate 90 which runs concurrently with U.S. Route 14. The town is northeast of Sundance, the county seat of Crook County. Although Beulah is unincorporated, it is served by the United States Postal Service and has a post office, with the ZIP code of 82712.
