Mark Wells (musician)
Mark Wells (born 22 April 1973) is an Australian born musician and record producer, best known as the bass player for The Ronnie Wood Band, and the founding member of Twenty Two Hundred (band), Twenty Two Hundred. In 2001, Wells produced the album ''Not For Beginners'' by the Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood (SPV/Steamhammer). Wells was the bass player for The Ronnie Wood Band from 2001 to 2002. He appeared on the live DVD "Ronnie Wood - Far East Man". In 2006, Wells won a Queensland Q Music award for his song "Plausible Deniability" (performed by Monkeybone) in the category of "Punk and Metal". He is the forming member, songwriter, bass player and guitarist for the Australian rock band Twenty Two Hundred (band), Twenty Two Hundred who formed in 2010. He produced and mixed the band's debut EP "Eleven" in 2010, and he produced the band's debut album, ''Carnaval De Vénus'' in 2013. (Tonequake Records). Ronald David Wood (born 1 June 1947) is an English Rock music, rock musician, best known as a member of the Rolling Stones since 1975, and a member of Faces (band), Faces and the Jeff Beck Group. Wood began his career in 1964, playing lead guitar with several British rhythm and blues bands in short succession, including The Birds (band), the Birds and The Creation (band), the Creation. He joined the Jeff Beck Group in 1967 as a guitarist and bassist, playing on the albums ''Truth (Jeff Beck album), Truth'' and ''Beck-Ola''. The group split in 1969, and Wood departed along with lead vocalist Rod Stewart to join former Small Faces members Ronnie Lane, Ian McLagan and Kenney Jones in a new group named Faces with Wood now primarily on lead guitar. The group found great success in the UK and mainland Europe from the early days on, but only reached major fame in the US during their last year of existence, 1975, with a major tour of the US. Twenty Two Hundred (band)
Twenty Two Hundred is an Australian rock band from Melbourne, Victoria, who formed in 2010. The band was founded by songwriter, musician and producer Mark Wells (former member of The Ronnie Wood Band). Their music incorporates elements of hard rock, classic rock, funk and groove. In April 2010, the band released their debut EP, ''Eleven''. Twenty Two Hundred were personally invited by Slash to open for his concert at Fort Canning Park, Singapore on 2 August 2010 as part of the Slash 2010 World Tour. American rock band Coheed and Cambria also performed. Twenty Two Hundred consequently opened for Slash in Singapore, Japan, Korea and Hong Kong from 14 to 22 March 2011. Following the Slash tour, the band recruited vocalist Tony Cardenas-Montana (of Slash and Great White) to feature on their debut album. He has written screenplays for Columbia Pictures, Columbia, 20th Century Studios, 20th Century Fox, and Warner Bros., Warner Brothers.
