Mark Walker (North Carolina Politician)
Bradley Mark Walker (born May 20, 1969) is an American politician and pastor who served as the U.S. representative for North Carolina's 6th congressional district from 2015 to 2021. A member of the Republican Party, he was elected to head the Republican Study Committee in 2017 and vice chair of the House Republican Conference in 2019. Walker unsuccessfully ran for Senate in the 2022 election, placing third in the Republican primary. He was also briefly a candidate in the 2024 North Carolina gubernatorial election and U.S. House election before withdrawing from that race to join Donald Trump's presidential campaign. On April 10, 2025, president Donald Trump announced his intention to nominate walker to be the U.S. Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom, a position within the State Department. General Sir Mark Walker (24 November 1827 – 18 July 1902) was a British Army officer and an Irish recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. Early life Walker was born in Gore Port, Finea, County Westmeath in Ireland, the son of Captain Alexander Walker and Elizabeth Elliott. His younger brother was Sir Samuel Walker, 1st Baronet QC, Liberal MP for Londonderry, Solicitor-General for Ireland, Attorney-General for Ireland and Lord Chancellor of Ireland. The Laughter Show
''The Laughter Show'' is a BBC comedy sketch show, which featured Dustin Gee and Les Dennis (along with Roy Jay and Caroline Dennis in 1984), from 1984 to 1986 and then just featuring Dennis until 1991. History Dustin Gee and Les Dennis both started their TV careers on '' Who Do You Do?'' in 1975, forming their partnership then. The pair went on to appear on stage and TV including '' Russ Abbot's Madhouse''. In 1984, BBC 1 gave the pair their own show, ''The Laughter Show'', whilst they continued to work on ''Russ Abbot's Madhouse''. This was the show that included their most notable impressions, as ''Coronation Street's'' Vera Duckworth in two-handers with Mavis Riley. On 3 January 1986 Dustin Gee died suddenly and unexpectedly of a heart attack shortly before transmission of the third series (which had already been recorded) was due to start. Mark Walker (1846–1924) was a fisherman and songwriter from Tickle Cove, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland (now Newfoundland and Labrador). He is best remembered for writing the song " Tickle Cove Pond". Walker was born in Tickle Cove, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador in 1846. Mark Alan Walker (born 1963) is a Canadian-American philosopher. He is a professor of philosophy at New Mexico State University, where he occupies the Richard L. Hedden Endowed Chair in Advanced Philosophical Studies. Prior to his professorship at NMSU Prof. Walker taught at McMaster University in the department of philosophy and the Arts & Science Programme.
