Mark Wales
Mark Adam Wales (born 3 November 1979) is an Australian author and entrepreneur. He gained national attention as a competitor on ''Australian Survivor'', which he eventually won. His earlier career had been as an officer in the Australian Army, where he made ten deployments over 16 years, including four to Afghanistan with the Special Air Service Regiment. On leaving the military he began business studies in the United States, before launching an apparel brand in New York. His 2021 memoir, also called ''Survivor,'' documented his experiences of war, PTSD and moral injury''.'' Leeming is a southern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. It is divided between the three local government areas of the City of Melville, the City of Cockburn (south) and the City of Canning (north-east). It is located approximately south of the Perth central business district and east of Fremantle. General Angus John Campbell, is a retired senior officer in the Australian Army, who served as the Chief of the Defence Force from 6 July 2018 until 10 July 2024. He was previously posted as Commander Operation Sovereign Borders from September 2013 until he was appointed Chief of Army in May 2015. Fire And Maneuver
Fire and movement, or fire and maneuver, is the basic modern military low-level unit tactic used to maneuver on the battlefield in the presence of the enemy, especially when under fire. It involves heavy use of all available cover, and highly-coordinated exchanges of rapid movement by some elements of the squad or platoon while other elements cover this movement with suppressive fire. It is used both to advance on enemy positions as part of an attack, or withdrawal from current positions under attack by the enemy. The moving and supporting (suppressing) elements may be teams or individuals, and may quickly and continuously exchange roles until the entire unit completes the maneuver objective. Swan Barracks was a military establishment in Francis Street, Perth, Western Australia. The heritage listed building is located between Museum and Beaufort Streets. Military use The barracks began as an unnamed drill hall constructed in 1896 prior to the Federation of Australia. An administration building was later constructed in a style described by the heritage register as "a romantic interpretation of a fortress".
