Mark Thompson (American Football)
Mark Thompson (born December 9, 1994) is an American professional American football, football running back who is a free agent. He played college football at Dodge City Conquistadors, Dodge City and Florida Gators football, Florida, and signed with the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL) as an Free agent#Undrafted free agent, undrafted free agent in 2018. He was also a member of the New York Jets, Detroit Lions and Las Vegas Raiders in the NFL. Afterwards, he played two years in the United States Football League (2022), United States Football League (USFL), and then one in the United Football League (2024), United Football League (UFL) with the Houston Gamblers / Roughnecks, being named the USFL Offensive Player of the Year and All-USFL in 2023 after leading the league in rushing touchdowns. Running Back
A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football. The primary roles of a running back are to receive American football plays#Offensive terminology, handoffs from the quarterback to Rush (American football)#Offense, rush the ball, to line up as a receiver to catch the ball, and Blocking (American football), block. There are usually one or two running backs on the field for a given play, depending on the offensive formation.
