Mark Sanders (cricketer)
Mark David Sanders (born 10 July 1979) is a South African former cricketer active from 1998/99 until 2005/06. Sanders played for KwaZulu-Natal B, KwaZulu-Natal and Boland. Career Mark Sanders made his first-class debut in February 1999, playing for KwaZulu-Natal B against Northerns B in a UCB Bowl match, scoring 35 in KwaZulu-Natal's only innings. In the same season, he also played another UCB Bowl match against Western Province B, scoring 88 runs. He made his Supersport Series debut for the main KwaZulu-Natal team against Griqualand West. In the 2002 English cricket season, Sanders also played for Horsham in the Sussex Premier League. Sanders played in two non-List A warm up matches prior to the 2003 Cricket World Cup in South Africa, for the Dolphins against Bangladesh and India. The India men's national cricket team, also known as Team India or the Men in Blue, represents India in men's international cricket. Rivash Gobind
Rivash Gobind (born 20 April 1982) is a South African cricket coach and former player. As a player, Gobind was a left-handed top order and opening batsman, who played for KwaZulu-Natal, Dolphins and South Africa U-19s; he captained both KwaZulu-Natal and South Africa U-19, and was the first Indian to captain a South African national cricket team. Personal life Gobind attended Effingham Secondary School. He has a master's degree in business administration. Eastern Province Cricket Team
Eastern Province cricket team was the former team that represented the Eastern Province in domestic first-class cricket in South Africa, alongside one-day matches. Eastern Province played first-class cricket from 1893–94 to 2004–05, when the team was merged with neighbouring team Border to form the entirely professional franchise the Warriors. From 2004–05 the former provincial teams, such as Eastern Province, were allocated two CSA Provincial Competitions that they could participate in: the CSA 3-Day Cup and the CSA One-Day Cup. Although given first-class status, these competitions were to be only semi-professional and no longer represented the top level of domestic cricket in South Africa. Gauteng Cricket Team
Gauteng (formerly Transvaal) is the first-class cricket team of the southern parts of Gauteng province of South Africa. The team was called ''Transvaal'' from April 1890 to April 1997 (the area north of Johannesburg, including Pretoria being part of the Northerns, formerly ''Northern Transvaal''). Under the main competition's various names – the Currie Cup, then the Castle Cup, now the SuperSport Series – Transvaal/Gauteng cricket team has been the most successful of the South African domestic sides, winning 25 times. In cricket, a batter is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batter is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Occurrence At least one batter is not out at the end of every innings, because once ten batters are out, the eleventh has no partner to bat on with so the innings ends. Usually two batters finish not out if the batting side declares in first-class cricket, and often at the end of the scheduled number of overs in limited overs cricket. Batters further down the batting order than the not out batters do not come out to the crease at all and are noted as ''did not bat'' rather than ''not out''; by contrast, a batter who comes to the crease but faces no balls is ''not out''. Southern Premier Cricket League
The Southern Premier Cricket League is the top level of competition for recreational club cricket in central southern England. The League was founded in 1969 under the name Southern Cricket League, and in 2000 it adopted the name Southern Premier Cricket League when it became an ECB Premier League. The league primarily covers Hampshire, but also has clubs from Dorset, Isle of Wight, Surrey, West Sussex, and Wiltshire. In the past there have also been clubs from Berkshire. The league runs a Premier Division, Division One, Division Two and a Division Three. Lymington
Lymington is a port town on the west bank of the Lymington River on the Solent, in the New Forest district of Hampshire, England. It faces Yarmouth, Isle of Wight, to which there is a car ferry service operated by Wightlink. It is within the civil parish of Lymington and Pennington. The town has a large tourist industry, based on proximity to the New Forest and its harbour. It is a major yachting centre with three marinas. As of 2015, the parish of Lymington and Pennington had a population of 15,726. History The earliest settlement in the Lymington area was around the Iron Age hill fort known today as Buckland Rings. The hill and ditches of the fort survive, and archaeological excavation of part of the walls was carried out in 1935. The fort has been dated to around the 6th century BC.
