Mark Rees (writer)
Mark Rees (born 13 October 1989) is an English former footballer who played in the Football League as a winger for Walsall and also had a short loan spell with Rochdale. Career Born in Smethwick, Rees played for England at schoolboy level, signing professional terms with Walsall in August 1978. Between 1978 and 1990, Rees made over 230 Football League appearances for the Saddlers, scoring 37 times. During his time with the club, he aided them to promotion in 1987 via the Football League play-offs and also scored a winning goal against Arsenal at Highbury in the League Cup in 1984. Following two successive relegations with Walsall at the end of the 1980s, Rees was released. During his time with the club, Rees had a short loan spell with Rochdale during the 1986–87 season where he made three league appearances. Following an operation on his hamstring, Rees joined recently relegated Colchester United in the Football Conference on a weekly contract on 3 September 1990. He made ... ''Doctors'' is a British medical soap opera, first broadcast on BBC One on 26 March 2000. Set in the fictional West Midlands town of Letherbridge, the soap follows the lives of the staff of both an NHS doctor's surgery and a university campus surgery, as well as the lives of their families and friends. Initially, only 41 episodes of the programme were ordered, but due to the positive reception, the BBC ordered it as a continuing soap opera. RDS Arena
RDS Arena is a multi-purpose sports stadium, owned by the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) and located in the Dublin suburb of Ballsbridge, Ireland. The arena was developed to host equestrian events, primarily the annual Dublin Horse Show, which was first held there in 1881. The site had been acquired in 1879 by the RDS. The primary tenants of the RDS Arena are Leinster Rugby who compete in the United Rugby Championship and Champions Cup. The arena has also hosted soccer and wrestling events and concerts. It has a capacity of 18,500, 16,500 of which is seated. The demountable north and south stands are removed for equestrian events, with only the Grandstand and Anglesea Stand permanent. Layer Road was a Football League stadium in Colchester, England. It was only used for football matches and was the home ground of Colchester United before being replaced by the Colchester Community Stadium. The stadium held spectators and was built in 1907, originally for use by Colchester Town Football Club. Layer Road has often had up to packed into the ground, when Colchester had been on a good FA Cup run, before the capacity was reduced to . The record attendance at Layer Road is for an FA Cup fixture against Reading in November 1948, a match that was abandoned.
