Mark Pearce (runner)
Mark Pearce (born 19 January 1996) is a British long distance runner. In 2021 he became the British champion in the 3000 metres steeplechase. Early life From the age of 11 years-old Pearce attended St Albans School, Hertfordshire. Career On 24 September, 2017 Pearce competed at the Berlin Marathon running 2:31.49. On 5 September, 2020 he was runner up in the 3000 metres steeplechase at the British Championships beating his personal best by 10 seconds. The time put him 39th for the year, worldwide. In September 2020 he was added to the University of Birmingham Talent Hub, a scheme designed to help talented athletes with a pathway to become world-class performers. 2021 British Athletics Championships
The 2021 British Athletics Championships was the national championships in outdoor track and field for athletes in the United Kingdom, which also served as the main qualifying event for athletics competitors for the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics. In addition, the Championships included a number of parasports events, with a total of 36 competitors in these competitions. Berlin Marathon
The Berlin Marathon (german: Berlin-Marathon, ) is a marathon event held annually on the streets of Berlin, Germany on the last weekend of September. Held annually since 1974, the event includes multiple races over the marathon distance of , including elite level road running competitions for men and women, a race for the public, an inline skating race, a wheelchair race, and a handcycle race. Events are split over two days, with skaters competing on the marathon course on Saturday before the running events.
