Mark Jason Miller (born September 17, 1971) is a retired American kickboxer who competed in the heavyweight division. He is also a published author and artist. Biography and career Early life Miller grew up in Latrobe, Pennsylvania and became involved with martial arts through his love of Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris films. His father took him to a boxing gym at a young age, and he also practiced Tang Soo Do, Hapkido, and Taekwondo as a child and teenager. He began competing in amateur boxing at the age of 18. Miller graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with degrees in economics and political science in December 1993. He later began Muay Thai and trained and fought in Thailand. Due to reapportionment following the 2010 United States census, Ohio lost its 17th and 18th congressional districts, necessitating redrawing of district lines. Mark Miller is an American former motorcycle racer in AMA superbike series, an Isle of Man TT winner and Macau Grand Prix competitor. In 2010 he won the TT Zero race which replaced the 2009 format called TTXGP in which he failed to finish the course. In both events Miller rode MotoCzysz machines, winning on an updated bike designated MotoCzysz E1pc. His victory at the Isle of Man is featured in the film ''Charge, Zero Emissions/Maximum Speed'' by Mark Neale. Miller finished 2nd in the 2011 race and 3rd in 2012, again on MotoCzysz machines. Mark Miller (born September 15, 1975) is a retired American basketball player and current assistant coach for Robert Morris University in Chicago. He was a standout college player for the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and played professionally in six countries before starting his coaching career. High school and college career Miller was a high school standout for George Westinghouse College Prep, earning first team Chicago Public League honors and winning a city title in 1994. A 6'2" guard, Miller went to hometown UIC to play for coach Bob Hallberg. He became one of the best players in school history, earning second team All-Midwestern Collegiate Conference as both a freshman and sophomore. Mark Miller (born June 12, 1962) is a retired American soccer forward. A native of Tacoma, Washington, Miller attended the University of Portland where he played on the men's soccer team under coach Clive Charles. Miller was on the team from 1981 to 1984. In 1985 and 1986, he played with F.C. Portland of the Western Soccer Alliance. In 1986, he was the league's second leading scorer with 19 points on 7 goals and 5 assists. Teammate Brent Goulet won the points title that year with 20 points on 9 goals and 2 assists. While F.C. Portland ran to the second best record on Goulet and Miller's scoring, the WSA named a champion based on regular season record only. The Hollywood Kickers therefore took the alliance title.
