Mark Langston
Mark Edward Langston (born August 20, 1960) is an American former Major League Baseball left-handed pitcher. He pitched for the Seattle Mariners (1984–1989), Montreal Expos (1989), California / Anaheim Angels (1990–1997), San Diego Padres (1998), and Cleveland Indians (1999). During a 16-year baseball career, Langston compiled 179 wins, 2,464 strikeouts, and a 3.97 earned run average (ERA). Baseball career Langston attended Buchser High School in Santa Clara, California. After graduating in 1978, he was selected in the 15th round (377th overall) of the 1978 Major League Baseball draft by the Chicago Cubs, who offered him $10,000 to sign with the team. Bill Stein
William Allen Stein (born January 21, 1947) is an American former professional baseball player and manager. His playing career spanned 17 seasons, 14 of which were spent in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the St. Louis Cardinals (1972–1973), the Chicago White Sox (1974–1976), the Seattle Mariners (1977–1980), and the Texas Rangers (1981–1985). Over his career in the majors Stein batted .267 with 122 doubles, 18 triples, 44 home runs, and 311 runs batted in (RBIs) in 959 games played. Emil R. Buchser High School was a comprehensive, coeducational public high school in Santa Clara, California, United States that served students in grades nine through twelve. It opened in 1957 as the Santa Clara Union High School District's second high school, and it closed in 1981 due to declining enrollment. The campus was repurposed as Santa Clara High School's new location, and Buchser Junior High School was established at Santa Clara High's old location.
