Mark Keil
Mark Keil (born June 3, 1967) is a former professional tennis player from the United States who won five ATP World Tour doubles tournaments and was runner up at eight more. Early life and college Prior to college, Keil was raised in Albuquerque and in 1985 he was the NM 4-A HS state singles champion. Keil turned pro in the middle of his junior year (1987) from the University of South Florida. Professional career One of Keil's major career wins came in the second round of the 1991 Queen's Club Championships in London when he defeated Pete Sampras, then ranked 8th in the world, in straight sets. Keil went on to play in the main draw at Wimbledon in 1991 and 1993 and reached a career-high ATP singles ranking of no. 167. He qualified and won a round in singles at the 1993 Australian Open. Mark Anthony Philippoussis ( ; born 7 November 1976) is an Australian former professional tennis player of Greek and Italian descent. Philippoussis' greatest achievements are winning two Davis Cup titles with Australia in 1999 and 2003, winning the deciding rubber in the final of each. He also reached the final of the 1998 US Open and the 2003 Wimbledon singles tournaments. Philippoussis reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 8. Tennis Channel Open
The Tennis Channel Open was a men's tennis tournament on the ATP International Series which was held for the first time in Las Vegas, Nevada from February 27 to March 5, 2006. In the men's singles final, James Blake defeated Lleyton Hewitt while the men's doubles title was won by Bob and Mike Bryan. In 2005, The Tennis Channel purchased the tournament from IMG and moved it from Scottsdale to Las Vegas. In April 2008, The Tennis Channel announced that it was selling the tournament to the ATP, and the week the event had been held was now the first week of Davis Cup. Past finals The tournament had been in existence since 1986 located at the Scottsdale Radisson Resort. David Macpherson (born 3 July 1967) is a former professional male tennis player on the ATP Tour. He is the current coach of John Isner and the former coach of Bob and Mike Bryan. A product of player and coach, Tony Roche's junior tennis academy, he played lefthanded and turned professional in 1985. Kathrin Keil Sieberth (born November 28, 1962) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Her surname is pronounced "Kyle". Biography Keil grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she moved to from California at the age of five. Her father, noted scientist Klaus Keil, was a professor of geology at the University of New Mexico. Both of her parents were German immigrants.
