Mark Jones (musician)
Mark Jones (born June 19, 1952) is an American visual artist, musician, poet, philosopher, essayist and martial artist. Jones is an artist who has excelled in multiple genres of creative endeavor including paintings, conceptual art pieces, musical performances, compositions, arrangements and productions, poetry, essays, work as an editor and his pedagogical pursuits in music and art as well as the Chinese martial arts. He has also started and run several successful businesses. Since 1983, Jones has been based in Westchester County, New York and has spent winters in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for over 20 years. The Cleveland Institute of Art, previously Cleveland School of Art, is a private college focused on art and design and located in Cleveland, Ohio. History The college was founded in 1882 as the Western Reserve School of Design for Women, at first attended by one teacher and one pupil in the sitting room of its founder, Sarah Kimball. The school moved several times, first to the attic of the Old Cleveland City Hall, then to the Old Kelly homestead on Wilson Avenue (now East 55th Street). Having become a co-educational school, it was renamed the Cleveland School of Art in 1892. Ellis Island
Ellis Island is a federally owned island in New York Harbor, situated within the U.S. states of New York and New Jersey, that was the busiest immigrant inspection and processing station in the United States. ''Inside Kung-Fu'' was a monthly United States magazine founded in December 1973. Its last issue was in April 2011. History The magazine featured articles on modern wushu and kung fu as well as tournaments and events in the United States and China.
