Mark Hubbard (golfer)
Mark Hubbard (born May 24, 1989) is an American professional golfer. College career Hubbard played golf for San Jose State University from 2007 to 2011. A 2009 first-team all-Western Athletic Conference (WAC) honoree, he twice qualified for the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship, in 2009 and 2011. As a senior in 2011, he finished first in the WAC championship tournament. He graduated from San Jose State in December 2011 with a B.S. in business management. Professional career Hubbard turned professional in 2012. In September 2013, Hubbard won his first PGA Tour Canada event at The Wildfire Invitational. He finished the season ranked third on the Order of Merit, securing him one of five Web.com Tour cards for the 2014 season. Nathan Hubbard is an American business and music executive, and the founder of Firebird, a music startup, and Rival, a ticketing startup that was acquired by Ticketmaster. Early life and education Hubbard graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University in 1997, receiving a bachelor's degree in politics. Hubbard received an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2004. He is the older brother of PGA Tour player Mark Hubbard. Career Hubbard began his career in the entertainment industry as a touring and recording singer/songwriter with the group Rockwell Church. The band released five albums. The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour, held annually at Pebble Beach, California, near Carmel. The tournament is usually held during the month of February on two different courses, currently Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course and previously, Monterey Peninsula Country Club. The event was originally known as the Bing Crosby National Pro-Amateur, or just the Crosby Clambake. After Crosby's death in 1977, the tournament was hosted by his family for eight years. The Players Championship (commonly known as simply The Players, stylized by the PGA Tour as THE PLAYERS Championship) is an annual golf tournament on the PGA Tour. Originally known as the Tournament Players Championship, it began in 1974. The Players Championship at one point offered the highest purse of any tournament in golf (from $12.5 million in 2019 up to $25 million in 2023). The PGA Championship (often referred to as the US PGA Championship or USPGA outside the United States) is an annual golf tournament conducted by the Professional Golfers' Association of America. The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply the Masters, or as the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four men's major championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the first full week in April, the Masters is the first major golf tournament of the year. Mackenzie Robert Hughes (born November 23, 1990) is a Canadian professional golfer. Early life and amateur career Hughes was born in Hamilton, Ontario. He is a graduate of Kent State University, where he played on the golf team with fellow Canadian PGA Tour pro golfers Taylor Pendrith and Corey Conners. Hughes won the 2011 and 2012 Canadian Amateur Championship. Hughes was the number one Canadian Amateur in 2011. He was a member of Team Canada's National Squad in 2008, 2011, and 2012.
