Mark Goodman
Mark Goodman (born October 11, 1952) is an American radio host, TV personality and actor. He is best known as one of the original five VJ (media personality), video jockeys (VJs), along with Nina Blackwood, Alan Hunter (VJ), Alan Hunter, J. J. Jackson (media personality), J. J. Jackson and Martha Quinn, on the music network MTV, from 1981 to 1987. Early life, education and family Goodman was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1952. He is Jewish. From 1982 to 1987, he was married to New York City rock disc jockey, DJ Carol Miller (DJ), Carol Miller. They first met when they both worked on radio station 95.5 WPLJ. Goodman has one daughter from a subsequent relationship and is currently married to Jill Goodman. ''Man Trouble'' is a 1992 American romantic black comedy film starring Jack Nicholson and Ellen Barkin. WLS-FM (94.7 MHz) is a commercial classic hits radio station licensed to serve Chicago, Illinois. Owned by Cumulus Media, the station serves the Chicago metropolitan area, and is the radio home of Dave Fogel. The WLS-FM studios are located at the NBC Tower in the city's Streeterville neighborhood, while its transmitter is located at Willis Tower. WKQX (101.1 FM broadcasting, FM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Chicago, Illinois, featuring an alternative rock radio format, format known as "Q101". Owned by Cumulus Media, the station serves the Chicago metropolitan area. WKQX's studios are located in the NBC Tower, while the station transmits from atop the John Hancock Center. In addition to a standard analog transmission, WKQX broadcasts over two HD Radio channels. WKQX is best known for carrying an alternative rock format that, from 1992 until 2011 and since 2022, has used the "Q101" brand. A sale of the station to Merlin Media in August 2011 saw outgoing owner Emmis Communications sell the "Q101 Chicago" name, intellectual property and all underlying trademarks for a unrelated internet radio station Q101 (internet radio), bearing the same name, while WKQX itself flipped to all-news radio under Merlin Media as WWWN, then to adult contemporary as WIQI.
