Mark Cohen (born August 24, 1943) is an American photographer best known for his innovative close-up street photography. Cohen's major books of photography are ''Grim Street'' (2005), ''True Color'' (2007), and ''Mexico'' (2016). His work was first exhibited in a group exhibition at George Eastman House in 1969 and he had his first solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City in 1973. He was awarded Guggenheim Fellowships in 1971 and 1976.

''Rent'' (stylized in all caps) is a rock musical with music, lyrics, and book by Jonathan Larson. Loosely based on the 1896 opera ''La bohème'' by Giacomo Puccini, Luigi Illica, and Giuseppe Giacosa, it tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists struggling to survive and create a life in Lower Manhattan's East Village, in the thriving days of the bohemian culture of Alphabet City, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. The musical was first seen in 1993 in a workshop production at New York Theatre Workshop, the off-Broadway theatre which was also where the musical began performances on January 26, 1996. The show's creator, Jonathan Larson, had died suddenly of an aortic dissection the night before. The musical moved to Broadway's larger Nederlander Theatre on April 29, 1996. ''Make Me Laugh'' is an American television game show in which contestants watch three stand-up comedians performing their acts, one at a time, earning one dollar for every second that they could make it through without laughing. Mark Cohen (born 1970) is a former British gridiron football wide receiver who played in the British, Danish, German and Finnish leagues, and also the World League of American Football in 1995. He is widely considered one of the best players in British history. Mark Barnes (1970 – 1 January 2016), known professionally as Mark B, was a British hip hop record producer. He was most active in the 1990s and early 2000s, associating with Blade (musician), Blade and Task Force (band), Task Force on many of his records. He was a DJ for Jazz Fudge Recordings for much of his career. Mark B first signed with Jazz Fudge in 1995. He produced some tracks for DJ Vadim's U.S.S.R. Repertoire. Mark Howard Cohen (born June 11, 1955) is a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Biography Cohen received a Bachelor of Arts degree, ''magna cum laude'', in 1976 from Emory University. He received a Juris Doctor in 1979 from Emory University School of Law. He began his career as a law clerk to United States magistrate judge Joel M. Feldman of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, from 1979 to 1981. From 1981 to 1994, he worked in the Georgia Attorney General's Office, where he represented state agencies in federal and state litigation. Mark Cohen is a Canadian laser eye surgeon who practices in Montreal and Toronto. He is CEO and Co-Founder of Vision Group. In 2001, he and Avi Wallerstein founded LASIK MD, Canada's largest provider of laser refractive surgery. In 2010 LASIK MD performed over sixty percent of all laser vision correction procedures in Canada. Education Cohen completed his medical degree (MD, CM) in 1992 with a specialization in ophthalmology (FRCSC) at McGill University. At McGill, he was a recipient of the Holmes Gold Medal, awarded to the graduate with the highest aggregate academic standing upon completion of medical school. Mark Nathan Cohen (born 24 May 1943) is an American anthropologist and a professor in the State University of New York. He has an A.B. degree from Harvard College (1965) and a Ph.D. degree in anthropology (Columbia University, 1971).
