Mark B
Mark Barnes (1970 – 1 January 2016), known professionally as Mark B, was a British hip hop record producer. He was most active in the 1990s and early 2000s, associating with Blade (musician), Blade and Task Force (band), Task Force on many of his records. He was a DJ for Jazz Fudge Recordings for much of his career. Mark B first signed with Jazz Fudge in 1995. He produced some tracks for DJ Vadim's U.S.S.R. Repertoire. British Hip Hop
UK rap, also known as British hip hop or UK hip hop or British rap, is a music genre and culture that covers a variety of styles of hip hop music made in the United Kingdom. The development of UK rap was shaped by a distinct set of regional influences, slang, and grassroots movements that differentiated it from American hip hop. Blade (musician)
Blade is a British rapper who started his hip-hop career during the early 1980s. He is widely recognized as being the first British rapper to have released a double album on a fully independent label, being the first hip-hop artist selling records on the streets direct to fans, and using the crowdfunding method before the term existed. Music journalist Will Ashon famously described Blade as "the underdog's underdog". Early life Blade was born in Tehran, Iran and is of Armenian descent. At the age of four, he was sent to Calcutta, India, to attend a boarding school, where he stayed from 1973 to 1976. At the age of seven, he relocated to London and continued his education as a boarding student at Christ's College in Blackheath from 1976 to 1985. Task Force (band)
Task Force are a British hip hop group from Highbury in London, England. The group is led primarily by two brothers Chester P (vocals, songwriting and occasional music production) and Farma G (vocals, songwriting and music production). However, the Task Force family, according to Chester P, also includes DJ Louis Slipperz (music production), Ramson BadBones (vocals and songwriting), Remus, D.Molish, Inja MC (Delegates of Culture, Cambridge), Calculus, Merkamillion, Blinks and Marley. Task Force officially formed in 1999, releasing their debut album ''New Mic Order''. Vadim Alexandrovich Peare (), known professionally as DJ Vadim, is a Russian-British DJ and record producer. Born in Saint Petersburg and raised in London, Peare is additionally a promoter, record collector, radio presenter, occasional painter and writer, whose music combines hip hop, soul, reggae and electronica. He previously ran Jazz Fudge. Peare's music combines hip hop, soul, reggae, and electronica.
