Mark Atkinson is an American actor, filmmaker and comedian who appeared the films ''Pulp Friction'' (2021), ''Skin: The Movie'' (2020), and produced the Dick Shawn biopic ''Leave 'Em Laughing'' (2020). Atkinson won Best Supporting Actor at World Music & Independent Film Festival and received acting nominations at Austin Revolution Film Festival and Oceanside International Film Festival. Personal life After graduating from South Kingstown High School in 1997, Atkinson received a bachelor's degree to conclude four years at University of Rhode Island. He moved to San Diego and briefly studied comedy in Los Angeles at The Groundlings and The Second City. Atkinson later settled in Ocean Beach, San Diego. Mark Atkinson (born 16 February 1970) is a former association football player who frequently represented New Zealand. His senior career began with Central United before he moved to Australia to join Carlton S.C. A short stint with Eastern Pride followed before Atkinson was recruited for the Football Kingz' inaugural season the A-League. Atkinson made his full All Whites debut in a 1–0 win over Fiji on 7 June 1997. Mark Atkinson (rugby Union)
Mark Atkinson (born 8 March 1990) is an English former rugby union player. A centre, he spent a decade with Gloucester and played once for England in 2021. Career Atkinson attended Saint Ambrose College in Cheshire and earned a contract with the region's top club Sale Sharks in 2008. He represented England under-20 in their 2010 Six Nations campaign. He joined Wasps in 2010 however after they released him he signed for Esher RFC during the 2011–12 RFU Championship. The following season saw him join Bedford Blues. In 2014 Atkinson returned to the Premiership with Gloucester Rugby. His first season at the club saw them lift the EPCR Challenge Cup however he did not play due to injury. He started the 2017 Challenge Cup final defeat to Stade Français at Murrayfield and the following year scored a try against Cardiff Blues as they lost consecutive European finals. Mark Atkinson (born March 27, 1961) is a medical researcher best known for his contributions to research seeking to predict, prevent, and cure type 1 diabetes. He is the author of over 600 publications and is one of the world's most cited diabetes researchers. Atkinson currently conducts research at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he is Director for the Diabetes Institute at UF Health. He also is the Executive Director of the Network for Pancreatic Organ donors with Diabetes (nPOD) program. Atkinson has also been widely cited for his humanitarian contributions, particularly his efforts to improve diabetes care, management, and access to medications and supplies in developing nations.
