Marit Adeleide Andreassen (born 29 March 1966 in Svolvær, Nordland) is a Norwegian actress, born in Svolvær. She graduated from the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre in 1993, and has since worked both at Oslo Nye Teater and at Nationaltheatret (the National Theatre), where she has acted in such plays as Henrik Ibsen's ''Hedda Gabler'' and ''Peer Gynt ''Peer Gynt'' (, ) is a five-Act (drama), act play in verse written in 1867 by the Norwegian dramatist Henrik Ibsen. ''Andreaskorset'' (literally Andrew's Cross, released in English as ''The Crossing'') is a Norwegian erotic thriller film that premiered in 2004. The film received indifferent reviews, and it is perhaps best remembered as one of 2004's least viewed films. Just over 3,000 people watched the film, and by the end of the year, all the magazines and newspapers in Norway named it "the biggest flop of the year".
