Maris Rõngelep
Maris Rõngelep (since 2017 Niit; born 17 March 1984) is an Estonian athletics competitor. She was born in present-day Rae Parish, Harju County. 2000-2003 she studied at Audentes Sports Gymnasium. She began athletics training in 1997, coached by Ando Algre. She focused on hammer throw. She has competed at the European Athletics Championships The European Athletics Championships is a biennial (from 2010) athletics event organised by the European Athletic Association and is recognised as the elite continental outdoor athletics championships for Europe. Rae Parish () is a rural municipality in northern Estonia. It is a part of Harju County. The municipality has a population of 23,145 (as of 31 December 2022) and covers an area of 206.7 km². The population density is . Settlements Administrative centre of the municipality is Jüri, a small borough. The other biggest populated places are Vaida, Assaku, Lagedi and Peetri small boroughs. Harju County ( or ''Harjumaa''), is one of the fifteen counties of Estonia. It is situated in northern Estonia, on the southern coast of the Gulf of Finland, and borders Lääne-Viru County to the east, Järva County to the southeast, Rapla County to the south, and Lääne County to the southwest. Audentes Sports Gymnasium () is a sports school in Tallinn, and with the branch in Otepää, Estonia. School's history goes back to 1 September 1967 when Tallinn Sports Boarding School () was established in Tallinn. In 1990, the school was re-organized, when Tallinn Sports College () and another sports school () was merged. New name for the three merged schools became ''Estonian Sports Gymnasium'' (). European Athletics Championships
The European Athletics Championships is a biennial (from 2010) athletics event organised by the European Athletic Association and is recognised as the elite continental outdoor athletics championships for Europe. Editions First held, for men only, in 1934 in Turin, and separately for women for the first time in Vienna in 1938, the Championships took place every four years following the end of the World War II, with the exception of the 1969 and 1971 editions, becoming a joint men's and women's competition from the third edition in 1946 in Oslo.
