Marina Gajcin (born 8 April 2001) is a Serbian chess player who holds the title of Woman Grandmaster, which she earned in 2023. Chess career Gajcin represented Serbia in the 2022 Women's Chess Olympiad, finishing on 6/8 on board 4. Gajcin won the women's section of the 2023 Serbian Chess Championship, finishing on 7.5/9, two points ahead of second place. FIDE Titles
FIDE titles are awarded by the international chess governing body FIDE (''Fédération Internationale des Échecs'') for outstanding performance. The highest such title is Grandmaster (GM). Titles generally require a combination of Elo rating and norms (performance benchmarks in competitions including other titled players). 44th Chess Olympiad
The 44th Chess Olympiad was an international team chess event organised by the FIDE, International Chess Federation (FIDE) in Chennai, India, from 28 July to 10 August 2022. It consisted of two main tournaments—an Open event, enabling participation of players from all genders, and a Women's event, enabling participation of female players only—as well as several events to promote chess. The Olympiad was initially supposed to take place in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia, the host of the Chess World Cup 2019, in August 2020, but it was later moved to Moscow. However, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and then relocated to Chennai following Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The Serbian Chess Championship is held by the Serbian Chess Association. The first championships were played in 1935 and until 1991 they were the Yugoslav Chess Championship. Women's Chess World Cup 2023
The Women's Chess World Cup 2023 was a 103-player single-elimination chess tournament, the second edition of the Women's Chess World Cup, taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 29 July to 22 August 2023. The runner up and third place finishers, Nurgyul Salimova and Anna Muzychuk, qualified for the Women's Candidates Tournament 2024. Since Aleksandra Goryachkina, the winner of the tournament, had already qualified through the Grand Prix, her replacement was Koneru Humpy, who was the highest-rated player on the January 2024 FIDE rating list who had played a minimum 30 games. Govhar Beydullayeva (; born 23 April 2003) is an Azerbaijani chess Grandmaster (WGM 2022). She is the 2022 World Girls U-20 Champion as well as the World Girl's U18 Champion in 2021.
