Marin Tufan (born 16 October 1942) is a Romanian former football player who played as a striker, spending most of his career playing for Farul Constanța. Club career Marin Tufan was born on 16 October 1942 in Istria, Constanța, Romania, growing up in Sinoe, starting to play football at age 18 as a junior at Cimentul Medgidia where his first coach was Kostas Choumis. Shortly after he started to play at the senior squad of Cimentul in Divizia C, being noticed in a friendly against Farul Constanța by the opponents team's coach, Petre Steinbach, who brought him to the club, giving him his Divizia A debut on 15 September 1963 in the last 20 minutes of a 2–0 away loss against UTA Arad and in the following game, a 4–0 home victory against Știința Timișoara he played as a starter and scored a double as well as his partner from the offence, Constantin Dinulescu. Asociația Clubul Sportiv Petrolul 52, commonly known as Petrolul Ploiești () or simply as Petrolul, is a Romanian professional football club based in Ploiești, Prahova County, which competes in the Liga I. Traian Băsescu (; born 4 November 1951) is a conservative Romanian politician who served as President of Romania from 2004 to 2014. Prior to his presidency, Băsescu served as Romanian Minister of Transport on multiple occasions between 1991 and 2000, and as Mayor of Bucharest from 2000 to 2004. Additionally, he was elected as leader of the Democratic Party (PD) in 2001. During his term as leader of the PD, the party formed the Justice and Truth Alliance (DA) with the National Liberal Party (PNL). Following Theodor Stolojan's withdrawal from the presidential elections in 2004, Băsescu entered the presidential race on behalf of the alliance. The 1970 FIFA World Cup was the ninth edition of the FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial international football championship for men's senior national teams. Angelo Niculescu
Angelo Niculescu (1 October 1921 – 20 June 2015) was a Romanian football player and manager. He was the coach of the Romania national football team during the 1970 FIFA World Cup. He is best remembered in Romania for inventing the "temporizare" ("delaying") tactics in which the team keeps the possession of the ball inside its own half and the players are using many short passes from one side to another of the field in order to disrupt the opponents patience when they go out of their field to make pressing; this is also known as tiki-taka.
