Marie Wennersten
Marie Louise Inger Wennersten From (born 17 March 1958) is a retired Swedish professional golfer who played on the Ladies European Tour and LPGA Tour. Early life and amateur career Wennersten was born in Uddevalla on the west-coast of Sweden and played golf from age 10. As an amateur, representing Lyckorna Golf Club in Ljungskile south of Uddevalla, she won the Swedish Junior Match-play Championship in 1977 and the Swedish Match-play Championship in 1981, successfully defending the title in 1982. She represented Sweden at the European Lady Junior's Team Championship four times and was part of the Swedish team winning the 1978 event. Professional career In 1984, Wennersten enjoyed a spell on the LPGA Tour, with a best finish of T38 at the MasterCard International Pro-Am. Uddevalla
Uddevalla (old no, Oddevold) is a town and the seat of Uddevalla Municipality in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. In 2015, it had a population of 34 781. It is located at a bay of the south-eastern part of Skagerrak. The beaches of Uddevalla are filled with seashells and Uddevalla has one of the largest shell- banks in the world. Moor Park Golf Club
Moor Park Golf Club is a country club located in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, England. It has two eighteen-hole golf courses, the High Course and the West Course, of which the High Course has hosted many professional and elite amateur tournaments, including the Women's British Open in 1985. History Moor Park Country Club was founded in 1923, with three golf courses set within the Moor Park estate, and Moor Park Mansion as its clubhouse. Sandy Herd was the club's first professional. The club was reformed as Moor Park Golf Club after the courses were acquired by the local authority in 1937 for use as a public open space, intended to be part of London's green belt. Peggy Conley
Peggy Conley (born 1947) is a retired American professional golfer. Career At just 16, Conley played her way into the championship match of the 1963 U.S. Women's Amateur and lost 2 and 1 to Seattle's Anne Quast. In 1964, she won the U.S. Girls' Junior title after losing the final match the year before, beating Laura MacIvor, 6 and 5. In 1966, she captured the Women's Western Amateur. Conley became the first woman to receive a University of Washington golf scholarship. At 29, she qualified for the LPGA Tour, where she recorded top-10 finishes at the 1978 U.S. Women's Open and the 1979 LPGA Championship. Losing her card after six seasons, she turned to the Ladies European Tour (LET), where she played another half-dozen seasons. The Grundig Team Trophy was a women's professional golf tournament on the Swedish Golf Tour played annually from 1989 until 1991. It was always held at Royal Drottningholm Golf Club in Stockholm, Sweden. The 36-hole best ball tournament made its debut in 1989 and was immediately popular with the players. Pia Nilsson and Hillewi Hagström successfully defended their title in 1990 in very wet conditions. The Aspeboda Ladies Open was a women's professional golf tournament on the Swedish Golf Tour. It was played annually from the inception of the tour in 1986 until 1997.
