Marie Slater
Marie "Maz" Slater (born 1971 in Middleton, Greater Manchester) is a British reality TV star infamous for her role as the 'Miss Nasty' resort manager in Faliraki in ITV show ''Club Reps''. ''Club Reps'' Simply known as "Maz" to viewers, she first rose to promise in January 2002 when the first episode of the show was aired, becoming a huge tabloid star overnight. She was instantly described as the "middle manager from hell" by the UK press. However following the end of the first series, Slater was left devastated at the way producers had "falsely edited" the show to make her appear moody and nasty, saying "The producers didn't use any nice bits at all." However bookings for Club 18-30 holidays soared after each episode aired and this was referred to as "the Maz effect". Faliraki
Faliraki () is the primary seaside resort village on the Greek island of Rhodes, in the Dodecanese. It is situated on Faliraki Bay, on the northeastern coast, about 14 km south of the town of Rhodes and 10 km southeast of the airport. It is part of the municipal unit Kallithea. Club Reps
''Club Reps'' is a factual entertainment programme made for ITV by STV Studios, then known as SMG TV Productions. It ran from 2002 to 2004. The programme has been repeated on Sky Real Lives, Pick and STV local channels STV Edinburgh and STV Glasgow. In 2023, Series 1 began repeats on That's TV. Main series In series 1, the show is in Faliraki in Rhodes and the series follows a team of Club 18-30 reps. Some of the main people featured in the series include; Resort manager Marie Slater, AKA "Maz"; Area controller Lee; and Club Rep Mark. As with series 1, series 2 (''Club Reps: The Workers'') is also in Faliraki, although this time the series looks at individual people working in the resort. Club 18-30 was a holiday company working from its head office in Peterborough, that provided holidays for people aged 18–30 in typical party island destinations. Club 18-30 was sold on to Thomas Cook in 1998 and took around 45,000 guests each year. The average age of guests was 19, and one third of customers were travelling on holiday without their parents for the first time. On 8 October 2018, it was confirmed by Thomas Cook that the Club 18–30 brand would no longer continue after summer 2018. The last Club 18-30 holiday-makers travelled from Manchester to Magaluf on 27 October 2018 and returned on 30 October 2018. Sky Travel was a channel operated by Sky Group broadcasting travel and reality television programming. History Sky Travel launched as a weekday channel on 3 October 1994, as part of the Sky Multichannels package.It originally broadcast between Monday and Thursday between midday and midnight and on Friday between 12pm and 6pm until September 1997.
