Marie Le Conte (born 1991) is a French-Moroccan journalist and author, based in London. Early life Le Conte grew up in Nantes, in the Loire-Atlantique area of France. She has Moroccan heritage. Of Nantes, Le Conte wrote “Nantes is better than Paris, it is better than those sunny bits down towards the south of France, it is better than anywhere in the country. Nantes is the best bit of France.” She has described it as a “good sized city, lots to see but small enough to walk round the centre of town“. She had work experience at the ''Ouest-France'' newspaper in her home region, prior to moving to London to study journalism.
