Marianne Boesky Gallery is an art gallery located in the New York City neighborhood of Chelsea and Aspen, Colorado. Founded in 1996 in Soho by Marianne Boesky, it specializes in contemporary art. It represents established artists like Frank Stella and Jennifer Bartlett and a younger generation of artists like Sanford Biggers, The Haas Brothers, and Jammie Holmes. Jessica Jackson Hutchins
Jessica Jackson Hutchins (born 1971) is an American artist from Chicago, Illinois who is based in Portland, Oregon. Her practice consists of large scale ceramics, multi-media installations, assemblage, and paintings all of which utilize found objects such as old furniture, ceramics, worn out clothes, and newspaper clippings. The Haas Brothers (artists)
The Haas Brothers (twins, Nikolai and Simon Haas, b.1984) are American artists, noted for their sculptural works that blur the line between art and design. They currently work in Los Angeles, California. Biography Nikolai and Simon Haas were born in Santa Monica, California but grew up in Austin, Texas. Their mother, Emily Tracy, was an opera singer and their father, Berthold Haas, was a sculptor. Their older brother Lukas Haas is an actor. Simon Haas studied at the Rhode Island School of Design, while Nikolai focused on music with his band, RRIICCEE, in Los Angeles. Their first collaborative project together was in 2009 when they created bespoke furniture for Tobey Maguire. Barnaby Furnas
Barnaby Furnas, (born Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 1973), is a British painter and former graffiti artist who lives and works in New York City. He studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York and received a BFA in 1995 before going on to study at Columbia University in New York, receiving an MFA in 2000. He makes his own paint from pigment mixed with urethane. Sue de Beer (born September 8, 1973) is a contemporary artist who lives and works in New York City. De Beer's work is located at the intersection of film, installation, sculpture, and photography, and she is primarily known for her large-scale film-installations. Background De Beer received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (BFA) from Parsons The New School for Design in New York in 1995 and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from Columbia University in 1998. Julia Dault (born 1977) is a Canadian artist. She is best known for her abstract paintings and Formica and Plexiglas sculptures. She lives and works in Toronto. Early life and education Dault was born in Toronto to Gary Michael Dault, an art critic, and Margaret Crawford, who is an art teacher. Pier Paolo Calzolari
Pier Paolo Calzolari is an Italian artist (born in Bologna in 1943) who was originally associated with Arte Povera. He currently lives in Lisbon (Portugal). 1960s and 1970s Calzolari spent most of his childhood in Venice, Italy, where the cultural Byzantine heritage and the singular light of the city over the water profoundly influenced his work. In 1965 he moved to Bologna where he set up his studio at Palazzo Bentivoglio. Ghada Amer
Ghada Amer (; May 22, 1963, in Cairo, Egypt) is a contemporary artist, much of her work deals with issues of gender and sexuality. Her most notable body of work involves highly layered embroidered paintings of women's bodies referencing pornographic imagery. Amer had previously emigrated from Egypt to France at the age of 11 and was educated in Paris and Nice. She is currently living and working in New York City.
