Marianne Bigum
Marianne Bigum (born 10 April 1983) is a Danish politician and member of the Folketing, the national legislature. A member of the Green Left party, she has represented North Zealand since November 2022. Bigum was born on 10 April 1983. She is daughter of butcher Tommy Bigum. She studied at Rungsted Skole (1995–1999) and Helsingør Gymnasium. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry (2007), a Master of Science degree in environmental engineering (2009) and a Doctor of Philosophy degree (2014) from the Technical University of Denmark. She was a consultant on Copenhagen Municipality's Plastic Zero project (2013–2014), technical specialist at the Environmental Protection Agency (Miljøstyrelsen) (2014–2018) and senior consultant at Ramboll (2018–2021). She was a team leader and expert on circular economy at the Asian Development Bank from 2020 to 2022. Members of the Folketing () are Member of parliament, members of the Danish parliament, known as the Folketing. The title is frequently shortened to the initialism MF. Rudersdal Municipality
Rudersdal Municipality () is a part suburban, part rural municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') located on the northern outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark. It covers an area of 73 km² and has a population of 57,342 (1. January 2025). The distance from Copenhagen City Hall Square is approximately 20 km. The western part of the municipality is served by the Hillerød radial of the S-train network while the eastern part is served by the Coast Line. Administratively Rudersdal Municipality belongs to Region Hovedstaden. On 1 January 2007 Rudersdal municipality was created as the result of 2007 Danish Municipal Reform, consisting of the former municipalities of Søllerød and Birkerød. Its mayor is Ann Sofie Orth. General elections were held in the Danish Realm, Kingdom of Denmark on 1 November 2022, except in the Faroe Islands, where they were held on 31 October as 1 November was a national day of mourning for victims at sea. Of the 179 members of the Folketing, 175 were elected in Denmark proper, two in the Faroes and two in Greenland. The elections were called on 5 October following an ultimatum to the government by the Danish Social Liberal Party, Social Liberals (which had been providing external support) due to the outcome of a report on the 2020 Danish mink cull by the Mink Commission, which was critical of the government. Voter turnout was 84% in Denmark, 48% in Greenland, and 71% in the Faroes, with a combined turnout of 84% for the realm as a whole.
