Marianas High School (MHS) is a public high school located in Susupe on Saipan in the United States Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI). It is one of six high schools operated by the CNMI Public School System and the largest of three public high schools serving the island of Saipan. Susupe ( Old Japanese name: 鈴部町, ''Suzubu-chō'') is a village on Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands. Susupe is also known as Susupi. As of 2000, its population was 2,083. As of 2020, its population is 1,840. Judicial capital of the CNMI Capitol Hill is the seat of government for the Commonwealth, but the judicial branch is headquartered at the House of Justice in Susupe. Despite Susupe's considerable distance from Capitol Hill, both settlements are officially located within the municipal boundaries of Saipan, and neither settlement has any official status. If one considers Capitol Hill and not Saipan as a whole to be the capital of the Commonwealth, this makes the CNMI one of three U.S. jurisdictions whose supreme courts are not located in the capital proper. Saipan
Saipan () is the largest island and capital of the Northern Mariana Islands, an unincorporated Territories of the United States, territory of the United States in the western Pacific Ocean. A commonwealth is a traditional English term for a political community founded for the common good. Gregorio Sablan
Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan ( ; born January 19, 1955) is an American politician and former election commissioner. Elected in 2008, Sablan became the first delegate to the United States House of Representatives from the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Sablan has been a member of the Democratic Party throughout his life, but ran as an Independent for the delegate position, as the Democrats had nominated another candidate. Luis John Deleon Guerrero Castro (born October 27, 1982) is a Chamorro-American politician and a former member of the 21st Northern Mariana Islands House of Representatives. A former member of youth government in the early 2000s, he entered the civic arena by winning a seat in the local municipal government.
