Mariah Fujimagari (born 17 April 1994) is a Canadian ice hockey goaltender, currently an unrestricted free agent Career In her youth career, she was OFSAA 'AAAA' Champion 2012 and MVP, and captained the boy's U18 Maine Freeze team. She played college ice hockey with the Maine Black Bears women's ice hockey program in the Hockey East (HEA) conference of the NCAA Division I during 2013 to 2017. In her third season with the university, the 2015–16 season, she was named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team. Fujimagari played for HC ŠKP Bratislava in both the Elite Women's Hockey League (EWHL) and the Slovak Women's Extraliga during the 2017–18 season, leading the Extraliga in save percentage and goals against average. After just one year in Slovakia, she signed for the Worcester Blades in the Canadian Women's Hockey League, where she would play one season before the league folded. Swedish Women's Hockey League
The Swedish Women's Hockey League (), abbreviated SDHL, is the elite league for women's ice hockey in Sweden. It was established in 2007 as the by the Swedish Ice Hockey Association and was renamed prior to the 2016–17 season. The league has ten teams and employs a system of promotion and relegation with the Nationella Damhockeyligan (NDHL). 2022–23 SDHL Season
The 2022–23 SDHL season was the sixteenth ice hockey season of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). The season began on 16 September 2022 and concluded on 26 February 2023. Göteborg HC withdrew from the league on 2 November 2022, reducing the number of teams to nine for the remainder of the regular season. The playoffs began on 1 March and concluded on 20 March 2023. The Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) was a women's professional ice hockey league in the United States and Canada that operated from March 2015 until June 2023. The league was established in 2015 as the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL), comprising four league-owned teams. Goals against average (GAA), also known as average goals against (AGA), is a statistic used in field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, and water polo that is the mean of goals allowed per game by a goaltender or goalkeeper (depending on sport). GAA is analogous to a baseball pitcher's earned run average (ERA). In Japanese, the same translation (防御率) is used for both GAA and ERA, because of this. For ice hockey, the goals against average statistic is the number of goals a goaltender allows per 60 minutes of playing time. It is calculated by taking the number of goals against, multiplying that by 60 (minutes) and then dividing by the number of minutes played.
