Maria Àngels Anglada Prize
The Maria Àngels Anglada Prize (in Catalan: ''Premi de Narrativa Maria Àngels Anglada''; ) is a Catalan literary award, given annually by the ''Institut Ramon Muntaner'' ("Ramon Muntaner Secondary School"), in Figueres (Spain), with the aim of contributing to the promotion of Catalan literature, reaffirming the civic and cultural projection of the school and extolling the memory of the writer Maria Àngels Anglada (Vic, 1930 - Figueres, 1999), ex-professor of the centre. The award has the support of the Geli-Anglada family and the sponsorship of the ''Ajuntament de Figueres'' ("Figueres City Council") and the ''Diputació de Girona'' ("Girona Provincial Council"), as well as the collaboration of the ''Consell Comarcal de l'Alt Empordà'' ("Alt Empordà County Council"). Maria Àngels Anglada
Maria Àngels Anglada was a Catalan people, Catalan poet and novelist. She was born in Vic, Spain, Vic, Spain, in 1920. She received a degree in Classical Philology at the University of Barcelona. Her first novel, ''Les Closes (The Enclosures)'', won the 1978 Josep Pla Award. Her 1985 novel ''Sandàlies d'escuma'' (Sandals of Foam) won the Lletra d'Or Prize. She died in 1999. Jaume Cabré
Jaume Cabré i Fabré (; born 1947) is a Catalan philologist, novelist and screenwriter. He was one of the founders of the Catalan literary collective, '' Ofèlia Dracs''. He was born in Terrassa. He graduated in Catalan Philology from the University of Barcelona, is a high-school teacher on leave of absence, professor at the University of Lleida, and a member of the Philological Section of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans. During many years he has combined literary writing with teaching. He has also worked in television and cinematographic scriptwriting. He collaborated with Joaquim Maria Puyal as creator and scriptwriter of the first Catalan television series: '' La Granja'' (1989–1992), followed by other shows like '' Estació d'Enllaç'' (1994–1998), ''Crims'' (2000) and the made-for-television movies '' La dama blanca'' (1987), '' Nines russes'' (2003) and '' Sara'' (2003).
