Maria Safronova
Maria Igorevna Safronova (Russian: Мария Игоревна Сафронова; born May 10, 1979, Rzhev) is a Russian artist. She is a participant of Moscow, Russian and foreign exhibitions and the member of the Moscow Union of Artists. She is included in the Top 100 recognized artists of Russia according to «InArt». In 2017, 2018, she entered the Russian Investment Art Rating 49ART, which represents outstanding contemporary artists under the age of 50. In 2015, she became the laureate of Sergey Kuryokhin Award in the nomination «The best Work of Visual Art». Biography Maria Safronova was born on May 10, 1979 in Rzhev. She studied at the Moscow Academic Art Lyceum. In 2003, she graduated from Surikov Moscow Art Institute (department of Monumental Painting). Rzhev
Rzhev ( rus, Ржев, p=ˈrʐɛf) is a town in Tver Oblast, Russia, located southwest of Staritsa and from Tver, on the highway and railway connecting Moscow and Riga. It is the uppermost town situated on the Volga River. Population: History Rzhev was founded in the Middle Ages and rivals Toropets as the oldest town in the region. Rzhevians usually point out that their town is mentioned in the Novgorod laws as early as 1019. Their neighbors from Toropets, on the other hand, give more credence to Rzhev's first mention in a major chronicle under 1216, when it was in possession of Mstislav the Bold, Prince of Toropets. Kandinsky Prize
The Kandinsky Prize, named after Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky is an award sponsored by the Deutsche Bank AG and the Art Chronika Culture Foundation. It was organized in hopes of developing Russian contemporary art, and to reinforce the status of Russian art within the world. In total, 55,000 euros are awarded to the artists. It was first given out on 4 December 2007, hosted at the Winzavod Contemporary Art Center in Moscow. Four awards were given. The Young Artist Category is awarded to an artist under 30 and they receive a three months stay in Villa Romana. New Media Project of the year is awarded 10,000 euros. Artist of the Year is awarded 40,000 euros. Audience's Prize is awarded 5,000 euros. The award has been evolving over the years. Moscow School Of Painting, Sculpture And Architecture
The Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (), also known by the acronym MUZHVZ, was one of the largest educational institutions in Russia. The school was formed by the 1865 merger of a private art college, established in Moscow in 1832, and the Palace School of Architecture, established in 1749 by Dmitry Ukhtomsky. By the end of the 19th-century, it vied with the state-run St. Petersburg Academy of Arts for the title of the largest art school in the country. The Russian News Agency TASS, or simply TASS, is a Russian state-owned news agency founded in 1904. It is the largest Russian news agency and one of the largest news agencies worldwide.
