Maria Psilou (Greek: Μαρία Ψηλού) (born 7 February 1997) is a Greek model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Star Hellas 2017 and represented Greece at Miss World 2017 and Miss Supranational 2018 pageant. Personal life Psilou hails from Aigio, Greece. She studied philosophy at the University of Patras. On 11 June 2020 Psilou married Greek entrepreneur Konstantinos Psilos. On 10 August 2020 she gave birth to their first child, a daughter. Pageantry Star Hellas 2017 Psilou was crowned Star Hellas 2017 and then competed at Miss World 2017. Aigio
Aigio, also written as ''Aeghion, Aegion, Aegio, Egio'' ( el, Αίγιο, Aígio, ; la, Aegium), is a town and a former municipality in Achaea, West Greece, on the Peloponnese. Star Hellas ( el, Σταρ Ελλάς, Μις Ελλάς, Μις Γιάνγκ) is a national beauty pageant in Greece. The Star Hellas, Miss Hellas, Miss Young title is a trademark for Vassilis Prevelakis and Associates E.E. George Prevelakis, the founder of the company, was the driving force behind the Hellenic Beauty Pageant since the late 1960s. From then onwards, he was closely associated with the pageant till his death in 2006. In the early 1980s the then owner of the pageant, the Apogevmatini newspaper, decided to pull out of the pageant and transferred the rights to George Prevelakis. George Prevelakis later founded a company (Vassilis Prevelakis and Associates E.E.), together with his son, Vassilis, and transferred the rights to the pageant to the new company. Miss World 2017, the 67th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 18 November 2017 at the Sanya City Arena in China. 118 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Mikaela Eleni Fotiadi (greek: Μικαέλα Ελένη Φωτιάδη, born 26 December 1993) is a Greek–Dutch model. In 2015, she was crowned Star Hellas and represented her country at the Miss Universe pageant in Las Vegas. In 2016, she was crowned Miss Europe World in Lebanon. Early life Fotiadi was born on December 26, 1993, in Haarlem, Netherlands to Giorgos Fotiadis and Cathy Burger. Her father is Greek and her mother is Dutch.
