Maria Kuznetsova (wrestler)
Mariya Sergeyevna Kuznetsova (born 17 December 1997) is a Russian freestyle wrestler of Chuvash origin. She is a two-time bronze medalist at the European Wrestling Championships. Career Kuznetsova competed in the 65 kg event at the 2018 European Wrestling Championships held in Kaspiysk, Russia. In that same year, she won the gold medal in her event at the 2018 Russian National Women's Freestyle Wrestling Championships. In 2019, Kuznetsova represented Russia at the European Games in Minsk, Belarus and she won one of the bronze medals in the 62 kg event. A few months later, at the 2019 Military World Games held in Wuhan, China, she won the silver medal in the women's 62 kg event. In 2019, Kuznetsova also won a bronze medal in the 65 kg event at the European Wrestling Championships held in Bucharest, Romania. Novocheboksarsk (russian: Новочебокса́рск; cv, Ҫӗнӗ Шупашкар, ''Śĕnĕ Şupaşkar'') is a city in the Chuvash Republic, Russia, located on the southern bank of the Volga River, about east of Cheboksary, the capital of the republic. Mimi Nikolova Hristova ( bg, Мими Христова, born 19 July 1993) is a Bulgarian freestyle wrestler. She competed in the women's freestyle 58 kg event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, in which she was eliminated in the round of 32 by Pürevdorjiin Orkhon. 2020 Individual Wrestling World Cup
The inaugural 2020 Individual World Wrestling Cup was held in Belgrade, Serbia from 12–18 December 2020. It was a replacement event for the 2020 World Championships, which should have taken place in the same location, but since some criteria were not fulfilled, such as not less than 8 top nations from the previous championships to participate, the event is not counted as world championships. The Cup took place amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused this and other problems. The United States for instance chose not to participate. The Chuvash people ( , ; cv, чӑваш ; russian: чуваши ) are a Turkic ethnic group, a branch of Oghurs, native to an area stretching from the Volga-Ural region to Siberia.
