Maria Fernanda Costa
Maria Fernanda de Oliveira da Silva Costa (born 5 September 2002) is a Brazilian swimmer. She finished 4th in the 400m freestyle, and 5th in the 200m freestyle, at the 2024 World Championships, in Doha. International career 2017—20 She participated in the 2019 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships held in Budapest, Hungary. 2021–24 Mafe Costa made a huge improvement when he became part of the team that trains with Fernando Possenti. In June 2023, she was Brazilian champion in the Brazil Trophy in the 200m freestyle with a time of 1:57.76 and the 400m freestyle with a time of 4:06.85. At the 2023 World Aquatics Championships held in Fukuoka, Japan, she reached the final of the Women's 4 × 200 metre freestyle relay, finishing in 8th place. She also finished 12th in the Women's 400 metre freestyle, 20th in the Women's 200 metre freestyle and 24th in the Women's 200 metre butterfly. Freestyle is a category of Swimming (sport), swimming competition, defined by the rules of the International Swimming Federation (FINA), in which competitors are subject to a few limited restrictions on their swimming stroke. Freestyle races are the most common of all swimming competitions, with distances beginning with 50 meters (50 yards) and reaching 1500 meters (1650 yards), also known as the mile. Ana Carolina Vieira (born October 24, 2001, in São Paulo) is a Brazilian swimmer. She represented Brazil at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Career At the 2018 José Finkel Trophy, she broke the South American record in freestyle relay with a time of 7:50.57 along with Camila Mello, Maria Paula Heitmann and Andressa Cholodovskis. At the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics held in Buenos Aires, she won a silver medal in the Girls' 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay. It was the first time that a Brazil's women's relay won a swimming medal on a world level. Stephanie Balduccini
Stephanie Balduccini (born 20 September 2004) is a Brazilian swimmer. She competed in the 2020 Summer Olympics at age 16. In the 100m freestyle, she finished 6th at the 2024 World Championships in Doha, and obtained a silver at the 2023 Pan American Games. She is the daughter of Natalie, a British descendant who was born in Brazil, and Bruno. They both enrolled her in an English language school as a child, so the first language she learned was English, not Portuguese, which she later mastered. She began her career at Paineiras do Morumby club as a child. Her first international experience came in 2019, with the South American Youth Championship.
