Margot Zuidhof (born 12 May 1992) is a Dutch field hockey player. Zuidhof played for HC Helmond and THC Hurley; she currently plays for SV Kampong. Zuidhof made her debut for the Netherlands national team in January 2017 in a friendly match against Spain. Kampong (field Hockey Club)
Sportvereniging Kampong Hockey (, ), also known as SV Kampong or simply Kampong, is a Dutch professional field hockey club based in Utrecht. It was founded in 1902, making it the second-oldest hockey club in the Netherlands. Both the men's and the women's 1st XI compete in the Hoofdklasse, the country's top-tier league. The men's team won the play-off final in the 2023-24 season after finishing 3rd in the regular season. They lost the 2023–24 Men's Euro Hockey League final to Pinoké. Hockey Champions Trophy
The Hockey Champions Trophy (HCT) was an international field hockey tournament held by the International Hockey Federation (FIH). It featured the top 6 ranked nations in that year. History Founded in 1978 by Pakistan's Air Marshal Nur Khan and the Pakistan Hockey Federation, it featured the world's top-ranked field hockey teams competing in a round robin format. A biennial women's tournament was added in 1987. The Champions Trophy was changed from an annual to a biennial event from 2014 onwards, due to the introduction of the Hockey World League (HWL). The 2018 edition was the last edition of the Champions Trophy and the tournament was replaced by the Men's FIH Pro League and the Women's FIH Pro League in 2019. 2018 Women's Hockey Champions Trophy
The 2018 Women's Hockey Champions Trophy was the 23rd and last edition of the Hockey Champions Trophy for women. It was held between 17 and 25 November 2018 in Changzhou, China. The Netherlands won the tournament for the seventh time after defeating Australia 5–1 in the final, tying the record of seven titles previously set by Argentina in 2016. Host city change When the FIH unveiled the event hosts for the 2015–2018 cycle, Argentina was chosen to host this tournament. However, in March 2016, the FIH had to terminate all contractual agreements with Argentina as the Argentine Hockey Confederation was unable to fulfil their contractual obligations in regards to television rights, sponsorship and the hosting of events. Field Hockey
Field hockey (or simply referred to as hockey in some countries where ice hockey is not popular) is a team sport structured in standard hockey format, in which each team plays with 11 players in total, made up of 10 field players and a goalkeeper. Teams must move a hockey ball around a field by hitting it with a field hockey stick, hockey stick towards the rival team's shooting circle and then into the goal (sports), goal. The match is won by the team that scores the most goals. Matches are played on grass, watered turf, artificial turf, although grass has become increasingly rare as a playing surface.
