Margie Nightingale
Margaret Ellen Nightingale (born 1972) is an Australian politician who has been the Labor Party member for Inala in the Legislative Assembly of Queensland since the 2024 Inala state by-election. Before being elected, Nightingale was a nurse and a teacher. She was also a policy adviser to Queensland treasurer Cameron Dick. Inala is a suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the , Inala had a population of 14,849 people. Geography Inala is by road south-west of the Brisbane GPO. Inala Avenue/Poinsettia Street is the main roadway east–west and Serviceston Avenue/Rosemary Street and Blunder Road are the main roads stretching north–south. The electoral district of Inala is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in south-west Brisbane. It includes the suburbs of Inala, Ellen Grove, Forest Lake, Doolandella, Durack, Wacol, Richlands and parts of Oxley. It borders the electoral districts of Mount Ommaney, Miller, Algester, Jordan, Bundamba and Moggill. The Inala electoral district was created in the 1990 redistribution as part of the one vote one value reforms under Wayne Goss, and was contested for the first time at the 1992 election. Cameron Robert Dick (born 1 January 1967) is an Australian politician and member of the Labor Party currently serving as the 51st Treasurer of Queensland. He previously served as Minister for State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning and was Minister for Health and Minister for Ambulance Services in the Palaszczuk Ministry. He also served as Attorney-General, Minister for Education and Minister for Industrial Relations in the Bligh government.
