Margaux Daveloose (born 29 September 2003) is a Belgian artistic gymnast. She competed at the 2019 World Championships. Personal life Margaux Daveloose was born on 29 September 2003, in Bruges. She was named the 2018 Sportswoman of the Year by the Association of Sports Journalists in Bruges, and she received the 2019 Female Youth Trophy from the Bruges Sports Council. She speaks Dutch and English. She looks up to fellow Belgian national team member Nina Derwael. Career Daveloose competed at the 2017 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival where she finished 12th in the all-around final with a score of 50.000. At the 2018 European Junior Championships, the Belgian team finished 6th, and Daveloose finished 10th in the all-around with a score of 51.000. Gymnastics At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Qualification
This article describes the qualifying phase for gymnastics at the 2020 Summer Olympics . The qualification system underwent a significant revision following the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. The team events in artistic gymnastics will be reduced from five members to four, but a maximum of two further places will be available for competitors in individual events, in principle allowing one or two athletes per National Olympic Committee (NOC) to enter as specialists. In a further move to link FIG competitions to the Olympics, it will now be possible to qualify for the Olympics on the basis of an aggregate of scores achieved over the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup series and the various continental artistic gymnastics championships. Lisa Vaelen (born 10 August 2004) is a Belgian artistic gymnast who represented Belgium at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Junior career 2016-2017 At the 2016 Belgian Championships, Vaelen swept the gold medals on every event and in the all-around in the Junior A-12 Division. She then made her international debut at the 2016 Gymnova Cup and won the gold medal in the all-around in the Espoir division. At the 2017 WOGA Classic, Vaelen finished sixth in the all-around and placed eighth with the Belgian team. She then competed at the Belgian Championships and won the bronze medal in the all-around. Then at the 2017 Gymnova Cup, she won the silver medal in the all-around and on vault and balance beam, and she won the bronze medal on the floor exercise. 2021 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 9th European Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics Individual Championships were held from 21–25 April 2021 at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland. The 2021 European Championships were an Olympic qualifying event, with two individual spots available for both disciplines. Russia earned a non-nominative quota spot in both disciplines, while Turkey's Adem Asil and Romania's Larisa Iordache qualified nominative berths for themselves in men's and women's artistic gymnastics, respectively. The original qualifiers, the 2020 European Men's and 2020 European Women's Championships, were undesignated as such in light of the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe.
