Margaret Vanderhye
Margaret G. "Margi" Vanderhye (born July 29, 1948, in Chicago) is a McLean, Virginia community activist and a former delegate from the 34th district of Virginia. She was the Democratic nominee in the 2007 Virginia general election to fill the seat held by retiring incumbent Republican Vince Callahan, defeating Republican businessman Dave Hunt in the general election on November 6, 2007. On November 3, 2009, Vanderhye was narrowly defeated in her reelection bid by Republican Barbara Comstock. Virginia's 34th House of Delegates district elects one of 100 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates, the lower house of the state's bicameral legislature.
