Margaret Cullington
Margaret Cullington (1885–1925) was an American actress. Born in New Rochelle, New York, she was an overlooked character player who made her debut in 1916 doing shorts for Universal and supporting George Ovey in Cub Comedies, sometimes with her first husband, Louis Fitzroy. She played with him in '' A Merry Mix-up (1916)'' and '' Jerry's Strategem (1916).'' She soon appeared in features like '' Betty Takes a Hand (1918), Wolves of the Border (1923),'' and ''Excitement.'' She worked mostly in short comedies, and she worked on a regular basis in Christie Comedies and Reggie Morris '' Speed Comedies'' for Arrow. Her only major starring role was as Maggie in the three ''Bringing Up Father'' two reelers by Al Christies, which were produced in 1920. She died on 18 July 1925. According to her ''Variety'' obituary, her second husband, Lieutenant William Fowler, was killed in a plane crash three years before. The obituary said his death led to hers. ''3 Gold Coins'' is a lost 1920 American silent Western film directed by Clifford Smith and starring Tom Mix. It was produced and distributed by Fox Film Corporation. It is believed to be a lost film. Plot Things are not going well for Bob Fleming. Then, while showing off for Betty Reed and her father (Frank Whitson), he shoots through three gold coins, which Bob keeps as lucky charms. J. M. Ballinger and Rufus Berry arrive in the township of Four Corners and proceed to plant oil on Fleming's property, with plans to sell stock to the townsfolk. Bob is implicated in the scheme and arrested for fraud. In the end, it turns out there really is oil on Fleming's land. Christie Film Company was an American pioneer motion picture company founded in Hollywood, California by Al Christie and Charles Christie, two brothers from London, Ontario, Canada. It made comedies. While Charles served almost exclusively in administration, it was Al Christie who made the films. Al had worked with David Horsley at his Centaur Film Company in Bayonne, New Jersey and moved to California on October 27, 1911, to run Nestor Studios, the first ever motion picture studio in Hollywood.
