Marcus Montana
Marcus Montana was the stage name of Marcus Lagudi, an Australian pop performer from the late 1980s. He was known for his debut single, "Tell Him I'm Your Man" (mid-1989), which was not a commercial hit. Tim Freedman
Timothy James Freedman (25 November 1964) is an Australian musician, best known as the mainstay lead singer and keyboardist of the Australian band The Whitlams formed in 1993. Note: n-lineversion was expanded from the 2002 edition. The song " No Aphrodisiac", co-written by Freedman, was their breakthrough hit in 1997; their top four ARIA albums by sales are '' Love This City'' (1999), '' Torch the Moon'' (2002), '' Little Cloud'' (2006), and their compilation album '' Truth, Beauty and a Picture of You: Best of the Whitlams'' in 2008. Triple J
Triple J is an Australian government-funded national radio station founded in 1975 as a division of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). It aims to appeal to young listeners of alternative music, and plays far more Australian content than commercial networks. The station was set up under the Gough Whitlam government, wanting to extend the appeal of the ABC to young Australians. Initially broadcasting as 2JJ or Double Jay from 19 January 1975, it stood apart from commercial stations with its lack of private advertising and its fringe music programming. Following a transition to FM in 1981, the station rebranded as 2JJJ or Triple J as it expanded regionally throughout the 1990s. The Whitlams
The Whitlams are an Australian Indie rock band formed in late 1992. The original line-up was Tim Freedman on keyboards and lead vocals, Andy Lewis on double bass and Stevie Plunder on guitar and lead vocals. Other than mainstay Freedman, the line-up has changed numerous times. From 2001 to 2022, he was joined by Warwick Hornby on bass guitar, Jak Housden on guitar and Terepai Richmond on drums – forming the band's longest-lasting and best-known line-up. Jimmy And The Boys
Jimmy and the Boys were an Australian shock rock and new wave band, active from 1976 to 1982. They pioneered the use of shock theatrics in Australia with an act that revolved around vocalist and contortionist Ignatius Jones and keyboard player Joylene Thornbird Hairmouth. The group recorded two studio albums, ''Not Like Everybody Else'' (November 1979) and ''Teddy Boys Picnic'' (July 1981). In May 1981 they scored their only Australian top 10 single with "They Won't Let My Girlfriend Talk to Me". In 1982, shortly after issuing their live album ''In Hell with Your Mother'', they disbanded. Jack Marx
Jackson Gregory Marx, known as Jack Marx, is an Australian journalist and author. He was born in Maitland, New South Wales. Career Marx moved to Sydney in his late teens to pursue a career in music with the rock band I Spartacus (previously known as 'A Dog for Jonathon'), from Newcastle. By his own account, the band was less than successful, Marx becoming "the type of shocking wanker that today I can't stomach ... a guy who thought his destiny was to thrill the world on the rock and roll stage".
