Marcus Johnson Jr.
Marcus Johnson Jr. (born May 18, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for Alvik Basket. He played college basketball for the Little Rock Trojans men's basketball, Arkansas–Little Rock Trojans. High school career He played high school basketball at Evelyn Mack Academy in Charlotte, North Carolina. Johnson was one of six players at Evelyn Mack to sign with Mott Community College. College career In his first season at Mott, Johnson made an immediate impact, averaging 14.6 points and 4.2 assists per game under coach Steve Schmidt. He left Mott for academic reasons to play at Hill College. He was named MVP in the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference. Johnson averaged 16.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 7.8 assists per game at Hill. Johnson transferred to Little Rock Trojans men's basketball, Arkansas–Little Rock before his junior season. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Above all, the point guard must understand and accept their coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football. Appalachian State Mountaineers
The Appalachian State Mountaineers are the athletic teams that represent Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, United States. The Mountaineers compete in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and were a member of the Southern Conference (SoCon) between 1972 and 2014. On July 1, 2014, Appalachian State moved to the Sun Belt Conference. Appalachian State fields varsity teams in 17 sports, 7 for men and 10 for women.
