Marcus Intalex
Marcus Julian Kaye (14 July 1971 – 28 May 2017), better known by his stage name Marcus Intalex, was an English drum and bass producer, DJ and musician. He additionally made house and techno music under the pseudonym Trevino. Between 1993 and 2000 he co-hosted the drum-and-bass radio show ''Da Intalex'' on Kiss 102 FM in Manchester. Kaye was the founder of the Soul:R, Revolve:R, and Birdie recording labels, and was active as a DJ, record producer, and touring artist from 1991 until his death in May 2017. His albums included the 2007 release ''FabricLive.35'' and the 2011 release ''21''. Early life Marcus Kaye grew up in Burnley, Lancashire, England. Career Kaye began as a House DJ in 1991 under the name Marcus Intalex, before becoming known as an early adopter of the UK Drum and Bass sound in the city of Manchester. From November 2001 to November 2018, the London nightclub fabric ran a monthly mix compilation series. Mixed by a variety of emerging and established DJs, the two series were entitled ''fabric'' and ''FABRICLIVE'' respectively. The compilation mixes were released independently by fabric on an alternating monthly basis. In May 2018, fabric announced that the ''fabric'' series would end "in its current form" with its 100th installment; in October 2018, fabric revealed the final ''fabric'' compilation would be a triple-disc set, mixed by two of the club's residents— Craig Richards and Terry Francis—as well as its founder, Keith Reilly. DJ Marky
Marco Antonio da Silva, known professionally as DJ Marky, is a Brazilian drum and bass DJ. Together with DJ Patife, XRS Land and Drumagick, Brazilians were forging a new sound in drum and bass that became popular around the world with releases such as '' LK'' and ''Só Tinha Que Ser Com Você''. Career Marky got started in drum and bass in 1992, but by 1997, he went to London and met DJ Hype and Goldie. He was brought to the attention of the English DJ Bryan Gee, head of V Recordings, who saw Marky playing in a club in São Paulo in 1998. He invited the DJ to play in London. This experience resulted in a residency at the club Movement, a subsequent residency at The End club, work for the UK's BBC Radio 1, and global popularity. Commix
Commix is an English drum and bass project from Cambridge, now solely composed of George Levings. History Based in Cambridge, Commix originally composed of George Levings, Guy Brewer and Conrad Whittle. As a DJ/production team, they began working together in 2002 and the trio released a series of 12-inch singles on the Aquasonic, Tangent Recordings, Good Looking Records, Creative Source and Brand.nu labels, with notable tracks including 2003's "Feel Something", and 2004's "Herbie" and "Surround". After Whittle's departure, Commix was signed to Goldie's label Metalheadz in 2005. Commix's signature track, "Satellite Song", was featured on the Metalheadz compilation ''Winter of Content'', while two other club favourites ("Urban Legend" and "If I Should Fall") were paired up on a 12-inch single. 4hero (sometimes referred to as 4 Hero or 4-Hero) are an electronic music group from Dollis Hill, London, comprising producers Mark "Marc Mac" Clair & Denis "Dego" McFarlane. 4hero are known for being pioneers of breakbeat hardcore, Jungle music, jungle/drum and bass, broken beat and nu jazz music.
